What's important is that Saunders Sensei taught the essential principles that make Aikido strong and effective. Everything time I train with Saunders Sensei I feel equipped not only with new technical knowledge, but a better idea of the foundations of Aikido so that I can progress on my own.

When I first joined Meikyokai Aikido and was introduced to Yoshinkan Aikido I wondered how aikido could benefit me, a year on and I am more relaxed, confident and fit.To become any where near good in aikido you need a good teacher and at Meikyokai aikido you definitely will find that

Training is challenging, frustrating, fascinating, and rewarding all in one session. However, the best part is training with really great people, some of who have become really great friends. I have been training for over 10 years and my only regret about aikido is that I don’t do enough of it.

Training is a contstant intellectual as well as physical challenge. Each lesson at the Meikyokai I feel I make progress in both areas. Most importantly Sensei Neil's welcoming and encouraging attitude to work hard as well as enjoy the training is mirrored by a great group of friendly and dedicated students.
